10. The nighingale sang its most beautiful song about love. It pressed itself against the thorn. The pink rose turned red! A beautiful red! The nightingale sang more quietly. Its eyes closed. And it fell to the ground. "The little nightingale is dead," cried the rose tree. "It is dead for one beautiful red rose."

Our students from form 4 are invited to the Valentine`s Day Party to Luunja Secondary School on 10 February at 12 o`clock.
We have to introduce our school and prepare a short song or play coming from Great Britain.

The nightingale pressed itself onto the thorn.
It sang even more beautifully.
Soon, the white rose turned pink.
"Press harder" Come closer," said the rose tree.
"Only the blood from your heart can make the rose red."

That night, when the moon was up, the nightingale flew to the rose tree.
It pressed itself against a thorn and began to sing.
As the nightingale sang, a white rose grew.
"Press harder!" Come closer," said the rose tree.
"The sun will come up before the rose is red."

"But love is better than life. The young man can dance with the girl he loves."
The nightingale flew around the garden. It was happy.
The young man saw the nightingale. He heard its beautiful singing.
He liked its music but he thought it wasn`t useful.
"The nightingale sings a beautiful song but only for itself. It doesn`t help anyone! It only sounds beautiful."

"Give me a red rose and I will sing for you,"it said.
"I`m sorry, nightingale. My roses are red but winter was very cold, and now I don`t have any."
The nightingale was very sad.
"I only want one red rose. Help me, please!"
The rose tree said, "I know how to get a red rose, but iti is very sad way."
"Tell me! Tell me," said the nightingale.
"You must sing a beautiful song. You must press yourself onto one of my thorns. You must sing all night. Your blood will make one red rose grow."
