GREETINGS FROM PORTUGAL
Tuesday, November 10, 2009
I`d like to thank Märt and Kevin. Here are some sentences from their texts.
The capital of Estonia is Tallinn. Estonia is to the south of Finland. Estonia is a very small country. Estonia has many small lakes and rivers but there are no high mountains.. The national bird of Estonia is the swallow.
Written by Kevin
The people in Estonia speak Estonian, so my mother tongue is also Estonian. There are many low hills but no high mountains. The highest hill in Estonia is Suur Munamägi-318 metres high. There are lots of forests in Estonia. Pines, spruces, and birches grow here. Estonia has too few national parks. The Estonian flag is blue, black and white.

October 31 is Halloween. This festival celebrates the return of the souls of the dead who come back to visit places where they used to live. In America and Britain, people buy pumpkins. They decorate houses with pumpkins with candles put inside. In the evenings there are a lot of Halloween parties, or fancy dress parties. Children dress up as witches, ghosts, devils, cats, bats, or anything scary and go trick-or-treating. They go from house to house and ask „Trick or treat?“ People give them sweets and chocolate. If the children don`t get chocolate and sweets, they play a „trick“ – like squirting water in your face.
Do you know?
At Halloween, Americans buy $ 2 billion of sweets and chocolate for children.

Norway won THIS YEAR with a song "Fairytale"(muinasjutt) that means the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will be held in Norway.
Our beautiful and talented girls came sixth. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Listen to the winning song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8JRtGMBUz0
Read the words of this song:
FAIRYTALE
Years ago, when I was younger
I kind a liked, a girl I knew
She was mine and we were sweet hearts
That was then, but then it's true
I'm in love with a fairytale
Even though it hurts
Cause I don't care if I lose my mind,
I'm already cursed
Every day we started fighting
Every night we fell in love
No one else could make me sadder
But no one else could lift me high above
I don't know what I was doing
When suddenly we fell apart
Nowadays I cannot find her
But when I do we'll get a brand new start
I'm in love with a fairytale
Even though it hurts
Cause I don't care if I lose my mind,
I'm already cursed
She's a fairytale yeah
Even though it hurts
cause I don't care if I lose my mind,
I'm already cursed
On Wednesday, 13 May we were outside again.
Students were divided into two groups; following the map they had to search (otsima)and solve(lahendama) 8 different tasks.
Especially I`d like to thank Kerli Retter and Mariliis for being so enthusiastic and preparing interesting tasks for their classmates.

POEMS OF OUR STUDENTS
FRIEND
written by Ahto, form 6
Once lived a mouse
she had her own house,
but the mouse wasn`t happy
because she was lonely.
One day the mouse met a cat
who was scared and wore a hat.
The cat was friendly
but a bit lonely.
Now they are the best friends,
forever to the end...
PEACE POEM
Written by our former students
Fire is a light that gives warmth
Home- that`s a creator of warm and peace
Peace is like sunshine-
Makes people merry and happy
Peace is luck that shines like the sun
Peace is silence and a rest
The pride of each nation
Peace is enjoyable, peace is a light
Peace is the beginning of love and life
Peace is our future and a case of need
Peace ist that when you have a home
And nothing to worry about
The sun is shining above you
At home your family`s waiting for you
Peace is fragile, so good and nice
If nobody battles it`s good to live
The beauty of nature, silence and peace-
Nobody is cross
But we all know
We must keep the peace
Peace could always be around us
No wars, no screams
Peace is always in our hearts
Like beautiful thoughts in your head
Peace is the goodness around us
Sunshine and a wavy sea
It isn´t difficult to find the peace
More difficult to keep it
Peace gives us luck
War- just disaster
Because of that
Sow the seed of peace
Sow it from you heart!
A RABBIT SWAM IN THE LAKE
Written by Mariliis, form 6
A Rabbit swam in the lake,
after that she ate up a cake.
Next morning the rabbit was sick,
only thing she thought was picnic.
Then came a vet,
and he said to the pet:
"You have to stay in bed!"
The Rabbit almost cried and hold her head..
Few days later, she felt better!
She knew she is healthy,
and then she said:"Malthy!"
LITTLE LARK
Written by Kerli Retter, form 6
It was dark
I saw a lark
The lark was lovely,
but very hungry.
It flew so high,
so high in the sky.
written by Mariliis, form6
The snow is melting,I hear it.
The sun is shining,I feel it.
The nature is awaking,I touch it.
The kids are playing,I see it.
This is spring...
